Tips and Help Page for PropertyZone.sg
Tip 1: Keeping Your Posting on Top (shortcut) - 11 Aug 2009
Step 1 - Login to your account.
Step 2 - Go to My Listings
Step 3 - Deactivate Listing
Step 4 - Activate Listing again
Step 5 - Done. Your existing posting is now re-activated with new posting date.
Tip 2: Avoid repeating postings with same contents - 11 Aug 2009
Search Engines will reduce your posting ranking if repeated postings with same contents are found. Most online potiential clients use Search Engines as starting point to look for Property. Therefore to be Search Engines friendly will means your posting will have higher chances of being found through Search Engines as well.
Repeated postings with same contents will also clutter the whole website; making your potential clients frustrated. We will ban members with excessive postings with same content as well to prevent cluttering of our website.
Best online marketing method for your property ad is to have clean and fresh ad posting (for Search Engines), while keeping your posting within clients radar , by using Tip1 above (Keeping Your Posting on Top)
Tip 3: Older, updated posting is more valuable - 8 Sep 2009
I notice some members like to delete their old posting and post a new one, while this practice helps to reduce the clutter, but it will means they reduce the chances of their posting being found in Search Engines.
Every posting will have a unique web address... e.g
http://www.propertyzone.sg/listing_details/1430/Alexis_Condo._Freehold!_356_Alexandra_Road_Singapore_159949_Singapore_Queenstown.html
Search engines will index this web address and if someone search for e.g Alexis Condo, this web address will be shown in the search result.
Let's say the owner of this posting wish to update this posting or like this posting to be on top of other listings.
Imagine if the owner delete this posting and replace with a new one. Search engine index will still returns this old web address and searchers will have error page.
Therefore it is better to keep your old posting, and just update (or re-activate) it to stay on top and keep the valuable web address, by using Tip1 above (Keeping Your Posting on Top)
